I was with Karl the day before he passed, and it is a memory I hold dear. We decided to go for a last boat ride of the season before the put the yacht up for the winter. He asked if I wanted to go to the shore, and I had a choice to make: to stay safe and boring or say “yes” to fun and life. I said “yes”, and so we found an old, rickety, dock along the side of Cayuga Lake in Ithaca, NY to pull the boat up to. I said “fuck it, let’s go!” and… Read more »
So beautiful
I first met Karl online in 2016 . I remember it was an auspicious day here in India. Signifying the coming of Lord Ganesha , the remover of obstacles and auspicious beginnings. I took Karl’s first Movement Weekend Workshop in June, 2015, after he got out of retirement. It transformed my life. I missed Karl dearly after his passing, even though I felt his presence in guiding me to teach movement feedback. To support the launch of… Read more »
I met Karl when Danny and Brent Phillips ask come out of retirement. I have over the years watched as he changed so many lives. He was a joy to be around. I love his laughter and how pure it was. My favorite saying by him was “It’s not how your move, just move.” Rest in Peace my dear friend and thanks for changing my life for the better. (Hugs)

I never looked back. Lost my money on the other thing and that choice to go to Karl continues to give. I continue to learn and… Read more »
